The Lake Garda microclimate which the hilly area above Bardolino enjoys produces Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grapes at a naturally high level of maturation. This is why Le Nogare is such a fresh young wine, just like the breezes blowing over the lake, with a strikingly bright ruby red colour, and scents of stewed cherries. What helps to maintain this particular colour and taste is the decision not to use wood for the maceration process: instead, Bertani use cement vats faced with glass tiles. Its sophisticated simplicity makes this wine one of Bertani’ brightest and lightest products. The vines are cultivated using “pergola veronese” method with 3.000 bases/ha and “spalliera” method. The pruning is making with “Guyot” method with 5.000 bases/ha. The manual harvest takes place in the third week of September. Vinification begins with grapes picked from the bunches pressed and put in steel tanks (large and downs, suited to increase contact between skins and must limit mechanical) with a temperature of fermentation between 18-20°C. It ages in glass-lined cement fermentation tanks in the underground cellar for 4 months. The wine is aged in the bottle for a least 2 months. rilliant ruby red. Intense notes of red fruit compote (cherry and marasche), accompanied to spices note. At the palate is sapid with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Good body.

The particular blend studied by Masi technicians is characterized by a good percentage of the Molinara grape, which naturally gives a rosé wine, and of the Dindarella, already used in the cru of Bardolino La Vegrona for its quality and aromas. Through a very brief period of skin contact (24-36 hours) of the derasped grapes, they take a delicate pink colour. After a very soft pressing, the must ferments for about 15-20 days in stainless steel tanks of 200 hl at controlled temperature. The wine rests for two/three months in stainless steel tanks where it undergoes a partial malolactic fermentation and is then bottled. The intense and fresh perfumes and delicate flavours of Rosa dei Masi derive from the beneficial climatic conditions of the region and from the personality of the ancient grape varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The Dindarella grape, another indigenous variety, gives the wine its characteristic spicy note. Voluntary interruption of the malolactic preserves fruitiness while increasing volume and roundess of the wine. Ideally served as an aperitif, with hors d'oeuvre, light pasta dishes and seafood. Serve chilled and drink while young and fresh. An excellent picnic wine. Recommended drinking temperature 10-14° C.

Established in 1969 on arid glacial soil, this vineyard yields a limited but exceptional crop, also enjoying the nurturing effect of the nearby Lake Garda. Aged 6 months in Slavonian Oak barrels of 65 hectoliters, 6 months in stainless steel tank. Ruby red color. Very fruity fragrance and fresh, with lots of cherry notes. Medium-bodied taste, fruity and smooth with lots of cherry notes. Excellent with cold cuts, pasta and white meats. Serve at 17°-18° C.
