English notes unavailable for this wine. Nome derivante dal vigneto in località "Altura", con età media delle viti di 35 anni, situato in collina su terreni di origine vulcanica a struttura tufacea. Rosso rubino scarico ma consistente, con leggere sfumature granate. Naso intenso e persistente di piccoli frutti rossi maturi, di ribes. Sentori di cacao e vaniglia si aggiungono a note balsamiche e speziate di liquirizia e cuoio. Gustativa che sviluppa una buona intensità e persistenza. Struttura equilibrata, di buona stoffa e di deciso carattere, con la freschezza in bella evidenza. Vinificazione in acciao con fermentazione malolattica totale. Affinamento e maturazione in barrique di rovere francese per 12 mesi: 50% nuove e 50% del 2° anno. Per altri 6 mesi in bottiglia. Ottima espressione di Pinot Nero. Temperatura di servizio 16-18° C.

Notes:

Deep ruby colour with an intese perfume of herbs and licorice. Dry, full bodied and somewhat austere. Balanced tannins complete the structure of this wine. The finish is persistent and lingering. Recommended with rich and spicy dishes.

The name CROSARA means crossroads in the Veneto dialect and was chosen because a crossroads is the meeting point of the two vineyards. Fermentation: Grapes totally destalked and 80% crushed in 3,500 kg open vats with 6 pneumatic punching-down cycles a day. Maceration time: 7 days. Selected yeasts and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Ageing: 18 months in new 100% French oak 225 l barrels: 80% Allier MT Cadus, 20% Limousin MT Cadus. No stabilising and no filtration. Extremely rich and deep purple colour. Intense aroma of spice, coffee, chocolate and ripe black and red berries. Penetrating taste of mature berries accompanied in the mouth by a excellent, sweet and well-balanced tannin structure which give the wine austerity and elegance. Excellent length and finish that leaves the mouth sweet and fully satisfied.

Land for the Palazzotto is flat and gravelly. Vine layout: production reduced by thinning the bunches and selecting ripe and healthy grapes. Ageing took 18 months in barriques and 12 months in bottles. Total production was 1200 crates of 750 ml bottles. Brilliant ruby red colour; elegant and intense bouquet with hints of liquorice, berries and noble wood. Full and dry taste without subsiding, optimal balance of noble natural tannins and wood tannins. Lingering structure.

La fermentazione del mosto avviene in tini aperti di acciaio, completata spontaneamente da quella malolattica. Colore rosso rubino leggermente scarico, tipico del Pinot Nero. Naso fine e fruttato di piccoli frutti a bacca rossa, sensazioni eleganti con note speziate. Palato corposo, ben equilibrato e di buona struttura. Affinamento in vasche di acciaio inox per 12 mesi. Temperatura di servizio 14-16° C.
