Notes:

Custoza Bertani is the result of the perfect synthesis of different grape varieties, and is the perfect expression of the typically fresh and lively character of the wines of the areas concerned. The grapes from which it is made – Gargànega, Trebbiano, Cortese and Malvasia – alternate and complement one another in harmonious interplay, to give a wine that is strikingly aromatic, but not intrusively so. As pleasing as the landscape from which it originates, Custoza makes a perfect aperitif and is ideally suited to accompany the various creations of modern cuisine. Grapes come from hilly and pied hilly region bordering Lake Garda. The land is morainic origin. The soil is argillaceous-calcareous and gravely calcareous. The vines are cultivated using “pergola veronese” method with a density of 3.000 bases/ha and “spalliera” method with a density of 5.000 bases/ha. The harvest takes place in the half of September. White fermentation in stainless steel tanks with a controlled temperature of 14°-16°. Aged in stainless steel tanks for 3 months, with end-fermentation’s yeast, with a periodical scrambling process. Straw yellow colour with green reflections. In the nose it opens up with aromatic notes, that remember white flower, apple, peach and a bit of almond. In the mouth characterized by almond and fruits, with good sapid sensations and a good acid balance.

Tommasi selected this vineyard for the distinctive and characteristic personality of its grapes. The parcel has particular value because of the exceptional composition of its glacial soil. It is protected by a small surrounding forest which provides and ideal micro-climate for the cultivation of these vines. Maturation is made for 6 months in stainless steel tanks. Moon yellow. Very fruity fragrance full of floral flavours; fresh taste, fruity with hints of peaches and white flowers. It is excellent with fish salads, soups and risotti. Serve at 10-12° C.

Tommasi selected the vineyard “Bosco del Gal”, located in the “Fossa Granara” estate at the county of Castelnuovo del Garda, for the distinctive and characteristic personality of its grapes. The parcel has particular value because of the exceptional composition of its glacial soil. It is protected by a small surrounding forest which provides and ideal micro-climate for the cultivation of these vines. Moon yellow color. Very fruity and full of floral flavours fragrance. Fresh, fruity taste with hints of peaches and white flowers. Excellent with fish salads, soups and risotti. Serve at 10-12° C.

Vino bianco secco, prodotto con uve selezionate nel cuore della zona di produzione del Bianco di Custoza, ottenuto principalmente dai vitigni Garganega, Chardonnay e Tocai. I vigneti sono situati ad un' altitudine media di 100/150 metri slm su terreno calcareo, argilloso e ghiaioso. La vendemmia avviene manualmente in due tempi diversi; per lo Chardonnay e il Tocai durante la prima decade di settembre, invece per la Garganega durante la seconda metà dello stesso mese. La vinificazione avviene a seguito di una pressatura soffice e di una fermentazione in acciaio a temperatura controllata. Di colore giallo paglierino, naso fragrante e fine, palato di giusto corpo e di piacevole intensità e persistenza. Si accompagna molto bene ad antipasti e a primi piatti di pesce in genere. Ottimo anche come vino da aperitivo. Temperatura di servizio ideale di 9-10°C.
