Notes:

Made from 100% Garganega grown in the Capitel Croce vineyard and harvested at less than 2 tons per acre. The wine is barrel fermented and remains in Allier and Troncais barriques for 12 months prior to an additional 9 months in bottle. Malolactic fermentation is carried out. Capitel Croce is pale yellow in color with a fruit forward nose that exhibits subtle nuances of French oak followed by rich, persistent flavors on the palate. Pale yellow in color. The nose is fruit forward with subtle nuances of French oak. Persistent and rich on the palate. Recommended with full bodied seafod preparations and lightly grilled white meats.

Notes:

The 10 hectares vineyard stands on top of the volcanic tuff-made Foscarino Hill at 350 meters above sea level. During the last week in June the bunches are thinned and yield is halved, a scrupolous choice is made in vineyard of the healthiest and most mature bunches which are picked and collected in small boxes, once in september and twice in october. Immediately following harvest, grapes are de-stemmed and undergo cold maceration and a soft pneumatic pressing. After a temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine matures sur lie for six months in steel vats with natural yeast and no decanting, with regular battonage. Once bottled, the wine rests an additional six months before release. Shellfish and creamy cheeses are two great matches, and the wine also has enough weight to pair with risotto. Serve at 10-12°C.

Everything about this wine is simple and straightforward, starting with the unadorned name and packaging, and continuing to the wine itself. This delicious wine hits just the right balance point between bright, crisp notes and complex, substantial ones. Light-bodied but leaning toward medium, it shows lovely fruit that recalls apples and pears, with nice little nuances of straw, minerals and smoke. A great drink for almost anything imaginable that is suited to lighter white wines.

A Chardonnay/Garganega blend from the Soave Classico zone, Le Lave is named for the area’s rich volcanic soil. Straw with green reflections color, inviting aroma of acacia blossoms and lightly toasted almonds bouquet. Dry and assertive yet elegant with a full, intense flavor and pleasingly spicy character. A graceful, elegant white wine.

Notes:

Gewürztraminer is an aromatic variety that is particularly difficult to grow. Very delicate with thin-skinned grapes and reasonably tight bunches. Thanks to the characteristics of the variety, to green harvesting and the limited amount grown per vine, the resulting grapes are healthy and very high quality. The vinification techniques employed are designed to enhance the aromatic content of this marvellous Gewürztraminer grape. The vineyards lie in the Fojaneghe estate situated in the communes of Mori and Isera (Trentino) at a height of 300 metres above-sea-level. The ground is typically basalt / limestone. Breezes from Lake Garda bring good temperature variations from night to day and excellent general ventilation. Whole grapes are chilled to about 0 °C before pressing. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 13 - 15°C. Maturation for 15 days in bottle. Pale straw yellow colour. Typically intense perfume for this variety. The palate reflects the nose: very aromatic and floral. Good structure and unique finish with bitter sweet hints of chestnut flower honey and a touch of butter. Excellent aperitif wine. Good with shellfish, white meats and cheeses. Serve at 10°C.
