Red wine Don Luigi is the flagship product for the winery Di Majo Norante. It is a wine made from carefully selected, in purity, the best and most mature grapes of Montepulciano and Aglianico. It is traditionally vinified with long contact of the must with the skins and aged in small oak barrels. The blend is composed of 90% Montepulciano grapes, and 10% from grapes of Aglianico, grown on land of Martarosa 100 meters above sea level in the heart of the most famous DOC Molise. The calcareous soil gives structure and body to the wine, the young vines and espalier system allow you to perform the harvest in late October and during the first week of November. The wine is made in the traditional way with the maceration of the skins in contact with the must for about 1 month. This wine is obtained by selecting the very best Montepulciano and Aglianico grapes. It undergoes traditional vinification; the must remains in prolonged contact with the dregs of pressed grapes and undergoes ageing in small oak casks. Deep, garnet red with violet reflections, this is a rich, intense wine, with great harmony and a perfect blend of ripe fruit flavours that evoke undergrowth, plum, hints of roasted wood and vanilla Ideal with red meats, game, haute cuisine dishes, cheeses.
Serving temperature: 18°C. Ideally, the bottle should be uncorked at least one hour before serving
