From the Arabic term "The Great," this is the name Donnafugata chose for its Moscato di Pantelleria, for its broad and noble perfumes. The label speaks the language of the island, expressing the colors, the freshness and the aromatic richness of Zibibbo. A label evoking the heroic soul of this island’s Kabir confirms its traditional pleasantness and is characterized by a rich bouquet of the typical notes of Zibibbo, citrus fruit and orange blossom, combined with hints of Mediterranean scrub.

Altitude: 20 to 400 m AMSL
Orography: complex orography, typically volcanic, soils mainly cultivated on terraced slopes.
Soils: sandy, originating from lava, they vary between sub-acidic and neutral reaction; deep, fertile soils, well endowed with phosphorus, potassium and zinc.
Training: vines are cultivated, in hollows, low 'alberello pantesco'. The low bush vine of Pantelleria has been inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a 'creative and sustainable practice'. For the first time, an agricultural practice is considered intangible and cultural heritage.
Pruning: the Pantellerian low bush vine is made up of from two to four branches and characterized by its horizontal growth. All operations are carried out by hand.
Fermentation: in stainless steel at a controlled temperature.
Aging: in stainless steel vats for some months and at least four months in bottle before being released to the market.
Analysis data: alcohol 11.55% ABV, total acidity 7.7 g/l, pH 3.24, sugar content: 111 g/l.
Description: Kabir is bright straw yellow with golden nuances. The nose offers a fragrant bouquet with fruity notes of peaches and citrus fruit combined with white flowers (orange blossom and jasmine) enlivened by hints of Mediterranean scrub. Vibrant on the palate thanks to the fresh acidity and pleasant mineral streak that balance the enjoyable sweetness.
Food & wine: perfect with savory cheeses, fruit salads and baked desserts. It is worth a try with bottarga (fish roe), big smoked fish, and goat cheese, even slightly flavored. Serve in small, tulip-shaped goblets, slightly bellied; uncork at the time of serving at a temperature of 12°C (54°F).
Occasions: pleasant and with a moderated alcohol content, it is a perfect dessert wine for a party with friends. To enjoy as an unusual aperitif, on the terrace in summer.
