La Valentina BELLOVEDERE Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva Terre dei Vestini Rosso DOC 2016

This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva DOC Terre dei Vestini "Bellovedere" from Fattoria La Valentina is produced only in vintages characterized by an ideal climate and by reaching full ripeness. Macerates and ferments for 30 days in open Slavonian oak vats. It does malolactic fermentation and refines partly in barriques, partly in tonneaux and partly in the same fermentation vats for about 18 months. A wine with an intense and wide bouquet, a fresh and soft palate and an intriguing and full color.

Tasting notes: It is ruby ​​red. On the nose, the amplitude is surprising, ranging from blackberry and red berry fruit to carob, spices, licorice and blond tobacco, cocoa and black pepper. In the mouth it is soft, balanced, tannic, very elegant and extremely long.
Vinification: Bellovedere is produced only in the years with great weather conditions and fully mature grapes. The grapes are harvested in basket, in the second part of  October at phenolic maturity, with a good sugar-acid balance. Fermentation in conical slavonian oak vats  for  30 days. Malolactic conversion and ageing for 18 months part in barriques/tonneaux , part in concrete and part in the same casks where the fermentation happened. After the blending, the wine is bottled , in the appropriate phase of the moon, unfiltered and unfined, one year before the release on the market.
