Dedicated to the memory of the founding grandfather, this wine represents the symbol, the history, the roots and the continuity of family on the Vulture territory.
Origin: Small and really old vineyards on the territory of Barile, located at 600 mt. above sea level, with naturally low yields (35-40 q/ha).
Grape Variety: Aglianico 100%.
Harvest: Time End of October.
Vinification: Classical, grapes are crushed and destemmed, maceration on the skins in stainless steel for 15 days at 25/28°C, during this period several pumping overs and delestages are carried out.
Finishing/ageing: 50% in large Slavonia oak barrel and 50% in French barriques. Bottling and final ageing in the bottle for 12 months. The accurate selection of the grapes and the careful vinification make this Aglianico a wine of excellent longevity (12/15 years).
