Alessandro Speri, founder and owner of this young and dynamic winery, belongs to a long and noble tradition of winemaking producers. In Italy, the family name is 'synonymous with award-winning wines and success since 1876. In the obsessive search for the perfect vineyard he has crossed the Atlantic and 'established in a small village on the slopes of the Andes, called La Consulta. Origin area: La Consulta - Uco valley, Mendoza (Argentina)
Altitude: 3.200 feet (above sea level)
Harvest: Hand-picked using baskets of 16 Kilos each one.
Fermentation: Maceration of grapes at a low temperature of 47ºF for two days. Alcoholic fermentation for two weeks on its skins with daily pump-over.
Aging:Twelve months in cement pools. Bâtonnage “sur lie”. Six months in the bottle.
Tasting notes: Color deep ruby red with purple hues. Aroma of sweet red fruits. In the mouth it explodes in expressive strawberry, cherry and raspberry fruits. Sweet tannins of oak and soft chocolate. Well-balanced, fine acidity and pleasant finish.
Food pairing: Loin of pork or turkey baked with plum sauce, roast pepper and paella.
