A new, unexpected fragrance is the outcome of leaving the Trebbiano di Lugana grapes to rest for years on the lees. We are convinced that leaving the wine pas dosé means every one can appreciate the real expression of a terroir of character, stature and elegance that, like the great Reserves, reveals its nature with the passing of time. We forget about it, leaving it so that all its features develop and change at every sip, rewarding us with a journey back in time in every bottle, thinking about that strip of land by Lake Garda that rewards the soul with great gifts.
Grape variety: 100% Trebbiano di Lugana.
Geographical location: Between the municipalities of Peschiera and Desenzano, in the southern area of Lake Garda
Type of terrain: Limestone-clay.
Vinification: This wine is obtained by selecting the best grapes from the company’s “historical” vineyards. The wine to be refermented is obtained exclusively with the alcoholic fermentation of the musts of first fraction (flower). After waiting at least 6 months in order to allow the wine to refine and clarify in steel tanks, the Cuvée is created through the secondary fermentation. The stacked bottles are left for more than 64 months in the rooms of our cellar before the “remouage”, then opened and filled with the same wine. The pas dosé cuvée arises from the search for that character and impeccable balance of taste that cannot be improved. On disgorging, in fact, the pas dosé does not receive any additional sugars with the liqueur.
Colour: Llively and bright straw-yellow colour, fine and persistent perlage.
Aroma: A delicate, fruity bouquet with sensations of ripe pineapple and exotic fruit, sensations of almonds and bread crusts due to the long refinement on the lees, ready to open up and reveal itself completely.
Taste: Fullness, structure, breadth and persistence, a wine with strong minerality that reflects the land of origin.
Gastronomical combinations: Excellent as an aperitif or with meals.
Serving temperature: Serve at a temperature of 7/8°C.
